Portrait photographs of members of "The Club," made up of various graduates of Harvard College, classes of 1810-1817. Subjects include Samuel Atkins Eliot, Theophilus Parsons, Franklin Dexter, Charles Folsom, Jared Sparks, and William Hickling Prescott, among others. Many of the photographs are displayed with the autographs of the subjects. All of the photographs are identified and were taken ca. 1855-1862. None of the photographers are identified.

The Club was formed in 1818 and eventually included twenty-four members. All but one of the members graduated from Harvard College between 1810 and 1817 and held prominent positions within Boston society. Meetings were held in the homes of individual members.
